g Fitness was born out of a strong and sincere desire to empower new moms and moms-to-be to achieve peace, strength and confidence in what is often the happiest and most challenging time in her life. When I found out I was pregnant, I was elated. Like many first time expectant moms, I had a million questions. Having worked as a physical therapist and personal trainer for over 15 years, I figured I had a clear advantage in taking great care of myself and the precious miracle growing inside of me. Yet, I still found myself needing answers to basic questions related to pregnancy, exercise and nutrition. That’s all it took to fuel a great passion for learning everything I possibly could to support myself and my baby in this exhilarating, sometimes exhausting, and unpredictable journey. This amazing journey continued after my son, Jack, was born. Ten months later, I became pregnant with my second child, Sofia, and the fire continued to be fueled as I studied the latest research extolling the tremendous benefits of exercise for pregnant women and their babies. My first prenatal programs, Mommies in Bloom and Mom’s “Core-ful” Approach were conceived.
The New Mom & The Post Partum Journey
After my children were born, I, like most moms, tried to figure out how to reacquaint myself with my pre-pregnancy size, shape and energy. With far less time to devote to exercise or anything else for that matter, coupled with little sleep and a lot of anxiety (return to work was quickly closing in), I needed to dramatically change my workout style. Gone were the days of spending an hour or so in the gym. Hence, my signature program, Maternal Express, evolved. As my babies grew, so did my array of options for exercise. If you're a new mom, you probably know the great outdoors is often a much needed break for the two of you. For me, that's all it took to develop "Revolutionary Moms", my own version of a Mommy and Me Stroller Bootcamp program. Soon after, MamaMoves & BabyBells evolved as my little ones desire to "play" with mommy grew greater. My very own “babybells” provided the resistance to squat, lunge, lift and more. To them, it's all about play but to me it was (and still is) a progressively tough workout as they grow and thrive.
PowerMoms Emerge

I always felt that becoming pregnant and having a baby was like an initiation process that got you into a secret mom sorority. The big belly or newborn baby always seemed to elicit conversation with another mom or mom-to-be who otherwise would just have been a stranger. The more I listened to other moms, the more I learned what they wanted and what they struggled with. My post natal program, PowerMoms, emerged in response to many moms’ desires not only to exercise but to develop camaraderie and a social network with other moms enduring the same trials and tribulations that motherhood brings. As PowerMoms proves, the group training effect is a powerful force for maintaining motivation and exercising harder than you would on your own. In essence, you're pushed passed your comfort zone to achieve and surpass your greatest expectations.
A New Chapter
Had I never had my children, I doubt Conceiving Fitness would ever have been born. The union of my personal and professional lives has allowed me to provide expectant and new moms with a unique combination of long term professional experience, clinical skill, scientific knowledge and sincere passion. My greatest pleasure would be to pass these along to you and your baby (or babies) so that you both may reap the tremendous health benefits that exercise, knowledge and empowerment provides.
